For Gilbert patients

In Gilbert, the appointment is usually booked by someone else.

Gilbert grew up fast. Within living memory it was farmland calling itself the Hay Shipping Capital of the World, and the water tower in the Heritage District is still the thing people navigate by. Now it runs from Val Vista Lakes and Agritopia out through Seville, Power Ranch and Adora Trails, and it has the reputation of a young family town — which is true, and also increasingly incomplete. The people who moved here in the nineties to raise children are now in their sixties and seventies. Their parents, in many cases, moved out to be near the grandchildren.

That demographic layering shows up in our appointment book in a specific way. More often in Gilbert than anywhere else we serve, the person who calls is not the patient. It is a daughter who noticed her father has stopped ordering anything that needs chewing. It is a son who realised his mother has not been in a photograph in two years and finally understood why.

This is delicate, and it is worth saying carefully. People who have struggled with their teeth for a long time often carry a quiet shame about it, and they can hear a well-meant offer of help as a judgment. If that is the conversation you are trying to have, the most useful thing you can do is remove the pressure from it: the 3D CT scan and consultation are complimentary, there is no obligation to start anything, and nobody will be pushed toward a decision in the chair. It is an information appointment. Framed that way, it is much easier to say yes to.

The second thing worth knowing is that the ground has genuinely shifted. If your parent's impression of implant treatment was formed fifteen or twenty years ago — bone grafts, long healing in a flat denture, appointments stretching across a year — that picture is out of date. Angled full-arch placement is designed to use the bone a person still has rather than rebuilding what they have lost, which avoids grafting in many cases. Qualifying patients leave surgery with fixed teeth the same day.

And bring the family. There is nothing awkward about three people in a consultation room. The appointment covers anatomy, options, timelines and cost, and it is a lot to hold on to alone — particularly for the person it is happening to.

  • Helping a parent decide? Come with them. The consultation is complimentary and there is no obligation to start treatment.
  • Worried they will be talked into something? They will not be. You will leave with imaging, options and — if you want it — a written itemized quote to think about at home.
  • Already in a denture? Fixed implant teeth anchor into bone rather than resting on gum. Here is the side-by-side.
  • Been told there is not enough bone? Very few people are genuinely ruled out — get a second read.

Getting here from Gilbert

Santan to the 101, or Val Vista to the 202.

Our Phoenix office at 12320 N. 32nd Street, Suite 3 sits in the 85032 ZIP code, west of the Piestewa Freeway. From south Gilbert — Seville, Power Ranch, Adora Trails — Loop 202 Santan west to Loop 101 north is the usual run. From the Heritage District, Val Vista Lakes and north Gilbert, Loop 202 Red Mountain west to State Route 51 north is generally the shorter path. Turn-by-turn directions are one tap from the map above.

Surgery days require a driver because of anesthesia, so if you are the family member helping, that is the appointment to put in your own calendar. Consultations outside normal business hours can be arranged — call or text 602-877-0429.

Your first visit

One visit. Your own anatomy on screen, and your real options.

Your 3D CT scan and consultation are complimentary, with no obligation to start treatment.

A complimentary 3D CT scan

The same imaging we plan real surgeries with. You see your own bone and jaw on screen — not a brochure, and not an average.

An honest answer on candidacy

Including if you've been told elsewhere that you don't have enough bone. Very few people are genuinely ruled out.

Your options, explained

From a single implant through full-arch treatment, with realistic timelines for each — and what each one asks of you.

A written, itemized quote

If you want it, before you leave, with financing shown alongside. Already holding a quote from another office? Second opinions are complimentary too.

Paying for treatment

Does Medicare cover dental implants?

For most Gilbert patients, the short answer is no. Original Medicare (Parts A and B) states it plainly: Medicare “doesn’t cover dental services like routine cleanings, fillings, tooth extractions (removals), or items like dentures and implants.” The exceptions are narrow and hospital-based — a dental exam before a heart valve replacement or an organ transplant, for instance, or an extraction to clear an infection before cancer treatment.

Some Medicare Advantage plans add a dental benefit. Those benefits are set by the plan rather than by Medicare, and the annual maximum is usually well below the cost of implant treatment. Private dental insurance behaves much the same way: an annual maximum, a list of exclusions, and sometimes an alternative-benefit clause that pays toward a denture instead of an implant.

None of that means you are on your own. Aria does not accept dental insurance, we are out of network by design, but our team will complete the form for you to submit to your insurance carrier — and monthly financing is presented alongside your written quote so you can see the real monthly number rather than only the total. Gilbert questions, answered

What Gilbert patients ask us first.

Please do. A treatment plan covers anatomy, options, timelines and cost, and it is a great deal to absorb alone. Family members are welcome in the consultation room, and in our experience the decisions made afterwards are better ones. The 3D CT scan and consultation are complimentary and there is no obligation to begin treatment.

With no commentary and no lectures. Nobody at Aria is going to make a patient feel judged for how they got here — we see the full range every week, and the only thing that matters clinically is what we can do from this point. If it helps, tell him it is an imaging appointment rather than a commitment, because that is genuinely what it is.

Age by itself is not a disqualifier. General health, bone volume and gum condition are what matter, and those are assessed from the 3D scan and examination rather than from a birth year. A large share of the patients we treat are retired.

Yes, and the second opinion is complimentary. Bring the treatment plan and any imaging you have. You will get our read on it, and the information is yours to keep whether or not you treat with Aria.
